Messy Church

The third Saturday of each month, excluding August

4.30 – 6 p.m.

Messy Church is run by church members for the local community.

The session starts at 4.30pm in the hall and craft room where there are a number of art, craft and play activities to explore. They are all based on a bible story or theme. Everyone is free to move around and choose the activities which they prefer.

After the activities we move into the church for a short informal time together – sharing thoughts about what we have made, listening to bible stories told in an engaging way, singing one or two lively worship songs, finishing with a simple prayer.

We return to the café area to enjoy “Messy Tea” – which ranges from sausage, beans and chips to do-it-yourself sandwiches, with cake ever popular for dessert, as well as occasional healthy snacks! This shared meal provides a chance to chat to friends, new and old.
